What a beautiful sunny day for Prince of Wales to visit Poole, where he was talking to the people involved in The Royal Foundation's Homewards programme launched in 2023 and had around 97 organisations and individuals joined at that first year including brands such as Pret A Manger, Sunseeker and AFC Bournemouth.
BCHA which offers housing with support to those who have mental health needs, will provide an example of new homes that could be delivered through the new Homewards Activator Partnership.
The Prince of Wales spoke with Lord Lieutenant of Dorset Michael Dooley and Principal and CEO of Bournemouth and Poole College Phil Sayles as he arrived for his visit to Bournemouth and Poole College. Homewards BCP has identified young people under the age of 25 as a 'key cohort' that they can and need to support and William wanted to see how they have helped to bring local organisations together to create new and successful employment pathways for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in the local area.
The Prince was presented to boat building techniques by Trainee Boat Builder Daniel Matthews during his visit to Bournemouth and Poole College.

One student (photo at the top), 24-year-old Natasha Gorry, from Wimborne, asked for a hug from William who obliged to the cheers and applause of the students.
He then said to her afterwards: “It was so nice to see you. You’ve got some lessons to go to, otherwise I will get into trouble.”
The students replied that they had a free period.
William said: “You’ve got the sun out today, it’s lovely.”
Ms Gorry, who is studying maths, English and cooking, said: “I’m happy, it’s my first time to see Prince William.
